Not too far from Sherwood Forest, this evocative program draws us into the medieval imagination, set deep within the green and shady woods where lovers come to meet and where the heartbroken flee the world. Sometimes sumptuous, sometimes playful, Eya explores the music of medieval France in Greenwood, including the achingly beautiful melodies of the Trouvères, notably those of Adam de la Halle from Le Jeu de Robin et Marion, and the curious and unusual Parisian motets of the 13th century.
